Silver Saddle was formed in 1996 in Lund, in the south of Sweden. The band now has its base in the nearby larger city Malmö.

The line-up has been the same ever since the start: Martin Dahlbäck (lead vocals, guitar, lap steel), Karl Strandberg (guitar, mandolin), Alexander Ekvall (bass) and Måns Katsler (drums, backing vocals).

Silver Saddle plays Americana with strong harmonies and lyrics in the storytelling tradition. With inspiration from the Texas alternative country scene they've added a Swedish touch, which creates a quite unique sound.

During the years, the band has performed locally as well as in other parts of Sweden. They have participated on two compilation albums ("Rockin' at the barn vol 2" and "All I want for Christmas"), both on the Swedish record label Dusty Records.

In 2004 Silver Saddle signed a record deal with In The Sticks Records, based in Flitwick, UK. The debut album "Four Miles Frome Here" was released in September 2004. In March 2005 Silver Saddle went on a UK tour to promote the album; nine gigs in 11 days. In April 2006 Silver Saddle released their second album "Northern Skyline".
